These pictures are from a few weeks ago when we began learning about nouns.  The kids love this simple project and it helps them remember that a noun is a person, place, thing.

    I am so excited that fall break has arrived! This school year is flying by and although I'm enjoying it more than in previous school year who doesn't like a week break!  And too make things even better my Michael has took off work with me!  He has some ambitious remodeling plans but I'm thinking we'll sneak in some together time.
    Starting this blog has been such an outlet to me.  I never thought that in four short months I would have almost 100 followers.  I love posting my ideas here and love it even more when I hear back from my readers.  You guys make this worth while.  So in honor of fall break I am hosting my first giveaway here at Keeping up with class.
    I can't think of anything better to give away than my newest favorite item!  It is my portfolio from Doodle Bugs Paper!

 I love this thing!  It goes everywhere with me.  I use it to make my daily to do list, grocery lists, and church notes.  It's the perfect size.      
     I want to give it to one of my followers.  All you need to do is leave a comment saying that you are a follower of my blog.  If you want to mention it on your blog, great...if not that's fine also.  I'll randomly pick a winner on Friday.  The winner can pick their portfolio color and design for the front cover.

How bout a classroom tour?

  This post is about 8 weeks late...but hey I like being fashionably late!  Even if no one else is interested at this point.  I still want to blog it for my reference.


  Before pictures.  This is what my room looked like on day one when I walked in.  I'm really thankful I was able to leave up my wall decorations, though I changed out several this year.

I always have great blogging plans in my head but they always seem to fall short when I start the new week and attend to the busyness.  Most days I realize I'm a slacker blogger.  Imagine my surprise to see several other bloggers have awarded me blogging awards.
